Senior Editorial News Resource With Anchoring Experience in English Republic is on the lookout for a Senior Editorial Resource for its English Channel to join its fiercely dynamic and fast-paced newsroom where we break stories and deliver impactful news content.

The role requires the ideal candidates to be experienced news hounds with an instinct and nose for the broadcast news desk, as well as bring with them thorough on-air experience.

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and energetic editorial professional to deliver sharp, engaging, and accurate news coverage.

The ideal candidate must have extensive on-air experience, exceptional news judgment, and the ability to contribute on the desk confidently during live and breaking wheels.

You will be the face of the news, steering breaking stories, and ensuring that our newsroom delivers timely, relevant, and well-informed content.

Key Responsibilities: * Anchor live news bulletins, interviews, and special events with clarity, authority, and professionalism.

* Handle breaking news situations with a calm and commanding presence on the desk.

* Contribute to editorial meetings, story ideation and play of stories.

* Collaborate with producers and reporters, producers and fellow deskies to ensure accurate and sharp news coverage.

* Provide editorial depth during live events, making quick decisions and adjusting coverage as necessary.

* Have a solid flair for the contextual understanding of current affairs, both domestic and global, so as to provide informed analysis.

Qualifications: * 8+ years of experience in broadcast journalism, with at least 5 years in a senior anchor role.

* Strong on-air presence, with the ability to communicate complex information in an accessible manner.

* Proven experience handling breaking news and fast-moving stories from the desk.

* Strong editorial judgment and understanding of ethical journalism practices.

* Ability to work under pressure in a live broadcast environment.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* A deep understanding of geopolitical affairs, business news, and cultural issues.

* Experience in mentoring or guiding junior reporters and anchors.

* Multilingual abilities are a plus.
