Industry: Renewable Energy / Biomass Power #Employment Type: Full-Time #Reporting To: GM / Head Office #Experience: 10–15 years (minimum 5 years in a leadership role) #We are a forward-thinking renewable energy company operating a state-of-the-art 8 MW biomass power plant , focused on sustainable energy generation through agricultural waste and forestry biomass. #We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Instrument Technician – Head of Department (HOD) to lead and manage all aspects of instrumentation and control systems at our biomass power plant. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant by maintaining and optimizing all instrument and control functions. ⚙️ Supervise the installation, calibration, and maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems. Monitor and troubleshoot PLCs, DCS, transmitters, analyzers, and control loops. Operation & Maintenance Support smooth plant operations by maintaining reliability of control systems. Lead root cause analysis for instrumentation failures and implement corrective measures. #Lead a team of instrument technicians and coordinate with electrical and mechanical departments. Identify opportunities for automation upgrades and performance improvements. #Safety, Compliance & Quality Support audits, inspections, and documentation as per regulatory requirements. #Work closely with plant operations, procurement, and fuel management teams. Provide periodic performance reports to senior management. Liaise with vendors and OEMs for service, spare parts, and system support. #Qualifications & Experience ~ Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering . ~10–15 years of experience in a biomass / thermal power plant , with at least 5 years in a leadership role . ~ Strong knowledge of boiler instrumentation, turbine controls, DCS/SCADA systems, and calibration procedures . ~ DCS / SCADA Operations Root Cause Analysis Calibration Management Compensation Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
