We are seeking a skilled Ab Initio Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data integration and transformation using Ab Initio, with a strong understanding of the financial services sector, particularly in capital markets.

Locations: Bangalore/Pune/Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Ab Initio graphs, ensuring adherence to standard environment parameters and SDLC practices.
  • Conduct data analysis and manage data ingestion from multiple source systems to various targets, implementing simple business transformations with daily and monthly schedules.
  • Produce Low-Level Design (LLD) documents and collaborate with testers and PMO for successful project delivery.
  • Provide third-level support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
  • Utilize various Ab Initio components such as Rollup Scan, Join Partition, Key Partition, Round Robin, Gather, Merge, Interleave Lookup, etc.
  • Work with complex frameworks for handling diverse data ingestion patterns including messaging files and hierarchical XML structures.
  • Engage in data modeling activities using tools like ERWIN, Power Designer, or Magic Draw to create Conceptual Data Models (CDMs), Logical Data Models (LDMs), and Physical Data Models (PDMs).
  • Collaborate within an Agile development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Required Skill:

  • Proficiency in Ab Initio graph development and standard environment parameters.
  • Strong SQL skills with expertise in database load/unload utilities; experience with Oracle, DB2, or Teradata is preferred.
  • Solid UNIX skills including shell scripting and familiarity with utilities such as sed, awk, Perl, and Python.
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools like Control-M, Autosys, Maestro, TWS, or ESP.
  • Experience in finance with a focus on capital markets products including derivatives (IRS, CDS), options, structured products, and fixed income products.
  • Understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of databases and database concepts; DB2 knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the interaction of Ab Initio applications with underlying hardware ecosystems.
