We are seeking a driven, hands-on technical leader to Lead AI research team in Bengaluru, focusing on applying the latest AI technologies to customer models for enhancing our marketing optimization efforts across the company. This role requires someone with a practical, results-driven approach to lead the team in applying cutting-edge research to real-world problems. The ideal candidate will guide the team in delivering research that has tangible mid- to long-term business impact while maintaining alignment with the company’s top priorities.The role requires a demonstrated ability to drive results and support the development of a highly skilled research team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of researchers in customer analysis and to deliver both short-term milestones and long-term research projects that provide business value.
  • Provide actionable feedback, including in-depth technical support, to ensure high-quality research outputs.
  • Set and execute the research agenda, ensuring alignment with the department's and company’s strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business leaders, to drive impactful, practical solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in AI, particularly in applied research, to ensure the team stays at the forefront of the industry.
  • Balance academic insights with practical application.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and productive research environment where team members are encouraged to push boundaries.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on technical expertise in AI research, with the ability to guide and review code and models.
  • A track record of delivering impactful research and development projects.
  • Experience in applied research, product management, or similar roles that bridge the gap between research and product delivery.
  • Solid understanding of engineering best practices, including software development life cycle, code reviews, and model deployment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • PhD in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent)
  • 10+ years of industry experience .
