Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Test Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts of projects, managing testing teams, and ensuring that high-quality software is delivered. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute test strategies, ensuring the software meets all requirements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and design test strategies.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Lead a team of testers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance.
Ensure that testing is completed on time, within scope, and meets quality standards.
Conduct team meetings and status updates, ensuring all team members are aligned.
Test Execution:
Oversee manual and automated testing efforts to ensure thorough testing of software.
Execute test cases, track defects, and manage defect life cycles.
Ensure the product meets quality standards and user requirements.
Automation & Tools:
Implement and maintain test automation scripts (where applicable).
Familiarity with various testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, Test Rail, etc.
Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
Perform root cause analysis and suggest improvements in the testing process.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular code reviews and ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
Continuously improve testing methodologies and tools to enhance productivity.
Reporting & Documentation:
Generate detailed test reports, progress updates, and metrics.
Ensure thorough documentation of test cases, results, and processes.
Required Skills & Qualification:
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in manual and automated testing, with at least 1 year in a leadership or test lead role.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with testing tools (Selenium, JIRA, Test NG, etc.).
Proficiency in creating and executing test cases.
Experience in defect tracking and test management tools.
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to identify risks and escalate when necessary.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Knowledge of performance testing or security testing is a plus.
