Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Graphic Designer with a strong background in packaging design to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of visual design principles, branding, and packaging trends, with the ability to create innovative and eye-catching packaging solutions that align with our brand’s identity and market requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Packaging Design:

  • Lead the design and development of creative packaging concepts, including product labels, boxes, bottles, pouches, and other packaging formats.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other teams to understand product specifications and create packaging that reflects the brand’s identity while ensuring functionality.
  • Ensure that packaging designs meet industry standards, are practical for production, and are environmentally sustainable when possible.
  • Create mock-ups, prototypes, and 3D renderings of packaging designs for internal review and presentations.

Branding and Visual Identity:

  • Maintain consistency in design across packaging and other marketing materials, ensuring alignment with the brand’s visual identity.
  • Work closely with the branding team to incorporate logos, typography, and colors that represent the brand effectively in packaging design.
  • Research and stay updated on market trends, competitor packaging, and consumer preferences to inform packaging innovation.

Creative Direction and Concept Development:

  • Lead the creative direction for new packaging designs and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new product launches.
  • Provide strategic input into packaging design that resonates with target audiences, increases shelf appeal, and supports sales growth.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and oversee their work to ensure high-quality design output.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate with vendors, printers, and production teams to ensure the feasibility and quality of packaging designs during the production process.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development, procurement) to understand design requirements and business objectives.
  • Communicate design ideas and revisions clearly to stakeholders, and incorporate feedback to finalize designs.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure all packaging designs adhere to regulatory requirements, labeling laws, and sustainability standards.
  • Maintain high standards for design quality and attention to detail, ensuring designs are delivered on time and meet project requirements.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple packaging design projects simultaneously, from concept to final production, while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Coordinate design timelines and deliverables to ensure timely execution of packaging production.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong focus on packaging design and creative mind.
  • Portfolio : A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your expertise in packaging design, including examples of different product packaging types (consumer goods, food, beverage, beauty products, etc.).
  • Software Proficiency : Expertise in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.) and other 3D rendering software (e.g., Blender, CAD).
  • Strong Understanding of Packaging Production : Knowledge of printing techniques, materials, packaging formats, and the production process.
  • Attention to Detail : Excellent eye for detail, with the ability to produce error-free designs that meet production specifications.
  • Creativity and Innovation : Proven ability to develop unique, creative, and compelling packaging concepts that stand out in a competitive market.
  • Project Management : Experience managing design projects from concept to production, working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present ideas and collaborate with teams.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Experience in sustainable and eco-friendly packaging design.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles, especially for digital packaging mockups.
  • Knowledge of trends in the packaging industry, including eco-conscious materials and packaging innovations.
