About the Role: This role focuses on delivering performance analysis services to Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) boxing athletes, contributing to a high-performance training and competition environment. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of coaches, sports scientists, and medical professionals, you will collect and analyze data on athletes' performances, identify key metrics, and provide actionable insights to optimize training strategies. Your work will help refine technical and tactical skills, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and contributing to the IIS mission of world-class athlete development. Responsibilities: Work with the Boxing team to develop and deliver performance analysis services to the Boxing Programme. Capture, prepare, and analyze data from major competitions &/or training both nationally and internationally. Work on the Athlete management software to analyze and visualize data, for the coaches to track the performance and progress of the athletes. Use objective data and information to enhance the coaching process, impact performance decisions and improve athlete’s performance. Consistently produce effective and compelling analytical insights that can be maximized by the coaches, support team, and athletes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Proficiency in Video Editing Software (e.g. Sports Code, Hudl, Dartfish) for tagging, clipping, and analyzing footage. Prior experience working in boxing or related sports (like Wrestling, Judo) is highly desirable. 1-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus. Ability to communicate findings effectively to coaches and athletes. Please note: - The role might require travelling with the team to competitions to capture and analyze videos. The responsibilities listed above are not exhaustive.
