Technical Documentation Manager

You will lead large-scale documentation projects and drive innovation in our content strategy.
You will need to be a visionary and identify and fill gaps in existing processes and ensure the
technical content meets the highest standards of quality and usability. Your team will comprise
of technical writers and content designers that innovate, develop, and deliver a variety of
content - Product Manuals, Training Modules, Demo Videos and Tutorials
You will constantly better the information engineering process - devising and implementing
effective and efficient ways to reduce duplication of work and deliver simple and quick
turnaround on a whole array of content requirements. Your team's success will be driven by the
cross-functional collaboration you will foster as a leader.

Responsibilities
- Manage documentation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence
to quality standards.
- Manage and deliver end-user training (excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
and Hindi is essential)
- Act as the point of escalation for team members, providing guidance and resolving complex
issues.
- Be the SPOC for all things documentation
- Assist fellow technical writers in the scheduling, planning, and tracking of documentation to
meet client deadlines.
- Identify and implement tools to streamline documentation workflows (e.g., content
management systems, collaboration platforms, automation).
- Manage repositories for easy access to documentation assets
Must Have
- 10-15 years of technical communication experience with at least 4+ years leading a team of
writers, preferably in hardware documentation space
- Proven experience managing technical writing teams and large-scale documentation projects.
- Ability to contribute to documentation as well as manage team (20% + 80%)
- Bachelor's or master's degree – preferably a technical degree or equivalent professional
experience
- Familiarity with various style guides, especially aerospace and defence standards
- Advanced working knowledge of documentation and design tools - MS Office, Adobe Acrobat,
Adobe Photoshop, Camtasia
- High level of ownership and a ‘Get it Done’ attitude
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and cocreate content with electrical, mechanical and
software engineers
- Passion for technology and user assistance
- Willingness to travel for on-site training assignments (15% travel)
- Experience working with topic-based authoring and structured content creation
