Role: Architect/ Senior Workplace designer/ space planner For their growing India team, our client, Saltmine a B2 B Saa S startup rebuilding the $300 B workplace design industry is looking for a dynamic Architect/ Senior workplace designer ; a self-starter who is capable of owning their work, leading the team while also being an integral member of the team. Saltmine is focusing on transforming the process of workplace strategy to programming to design & costing. Within the past year the team has grown by 50% to 170 employees globally with offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Singapore, Budapest & Vietnam. Attributes and Characteristics required: Self starter + team player with excellent written and oral communicator & organized. Hungry for growth and excited to take on additional responsibility as the organization grows. Role Overview The senior workplace designer/ space planner will be directly assigned to global clients alongside a customer success rep & will be responsible for all Design/Test Fitting service requests from demos and active clients, mainly Office/workplace interior design. Key responsibilities Understand design requirements & guidelines of global organizations and translate them into actual working principles applied to their office spaces. Understand and can work with Workplace Strategy / Program Strategy for Testfitting Establish and improve creative/design test fit workflow and standardize the process Create layouts and Mood board based on client’s profile and guideline Test-fit the floor plan on Saltmine platform Ensure program requirements/ Space budget is met Ensure all technical requirements / compliance are met Ensure timely delivery of the design file in Saltmine app as per committed timeline Participate in clients’ meetings when needed, to receive direct feedback and discusschange requests Provide knowledge and foundation training to the team to bring up designers’ skills up to expectation Education, experience & skills: Bachelor of Architecture degree & 6-8 years in workplace/ office design Experience creating space layouts and familiarity with workplace design Ability to deliver high quality interior design solutions (test fits + design ideation)Experience with CAD, Revit, Sketchup Basic project management experience Ownership for content in client-facing environment
