Department: Business Development / University Relations
North & East India (with travel across the region)
Reports To: AVP / Head – University Relations

The Senior Manager – University Relations will be responsible for driving strategic alliances and partnerships with universities in the North and East Zones . The role demands strong relationship management skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence academic stakeholders to expand TeamLease EdTech’s university network and portfolio.

University Partnerships & Alliances
Identify, engage, and onboard universities/HEIs across North & East India.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, and other key decision-makers.
Drive collaborations for Online Learning (OL), ODL, and skill-based programs.
Map new opportunities for strategic growth in unexplored territories.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the single point of contact between TeamLease EdTech and partner universities.
Facilitate smooth execution of academic programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines (UGC/AICTE).
Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Product) to deliver solutions.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Track competitor activities, policy changes, and market trends in the higher education ecosystem.
Strong relationship-building and networking skills with academia and government bodies.
Proven business development and consultative selling experience.
Strong understanding of higher education ecosystem, online learning, and employability landscape.
Flexibility to travel extensively across North & East India.

Qualifications & Experience
~ Postgraduate / MBA preferred (specialization in Marketing, Business, or Education Management).
~8–12 years of experience in university relations, institutional sales, higher education partnerships, or EdTech.
~ Prior experience in handling large territories/regional roles is desirable.
