About Us:
Join our cutting-edge startup team in Chennai, where we are advancing AI and ML applications within the medical and biotech sectors. We are looking for a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs) to create impactful solutions tailored for industry experts. This is a 3-4 month contract role, with the potential for continued collaboration, where you’ll engage closely with experts in medical, biotech, and pharma disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and analyze robust evaluation benchmarks to assess Gen AI product performance and effectiveness.
Engage in prompt engineering to tune LLMs for accuracy and relevance in specialized applications
Work closely with experts from medical, biotech, and pharma fields to understand their needs and align solutions accordingly
Innovate and iterate on current systems to enhance performance, efficiency, and user satisfaction
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s or Ph D is a plus
5+ years of experience in machine learning or backend service development (8+ is highly desirable)
Proven experience in building (LLMs) applications, prompt engineering, and ML model evaluation, using LLM frameworks such as Lang Chain, Llama Index, or Haystack,
Experience with vector databases, such as Pine Code for building RAG or Graph RAG applications.
Experience using prompt engineering tools, such as Prompt Layer or Promptist.
Nice to Have:
Background or interest in the medical, biotech, or pharma sectors
Familiarity with backend systems is a plus
