As an AI Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architect , you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's technological future. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex AI-powered solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture:

  • Design and implement robust and scalable cloud architectures on Azure, leveraging a variety of services such as Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cloud infrastructure documentation, including diagrams, scripts, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives.

AI Infrastructure:

  • Architect and deploy AI and machine learning solutions, including data pipelines, model training, and inference pipelines.
  • Optimise AI workloads for performance and cost-efficiency by leveraging Azure AI services like Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies and incorporate them into our solutions.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure, adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate countermeasures.

Automation and DevOps:

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Mentor and guide team members on cloud technologies, AI, and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud infrastructures.
  • Deep knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, including data pipelines, model training, and deployment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for emerging technologies and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks).
  • Experience with serverless computing (Azure Functions, Azure App Service).
