We are on the hunt for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The role demands a profound knowledge of Golang, SQL databases (particularly PostgreSQL and SAP Hana), and an understanding of the latest backend technologies and practices. You will contribute to the creation of scalable software solutions, ensuring a seamless integration with our backend tech stack.

Tech Stack:

  • Programming Language: Proficiency in Golang
  • Databases: Experience with PostgreSQL and SAP Hana
  • Cache Systems: Redis
  • Search Engine: Elasticsearch
  • Containerization: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Version Control: Proficiency in Git
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana is a plus
  • Cloud Services: Practical experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • API Design: Understanding of RESTful API and GraphQL
  • Microservices Architecture: Exposure to microservices design and deployment
  • Other Tools: Knowledge of messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform) is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Golang code
  • Implement performance and quality modules
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Ensure the robustness, performance, and failure characteristics of the system
  • Prioritize unit testing as an essential part of the development process, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to TDD practices where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify critical code paths that require thorough testing and contribute to test plans.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt best practices in unit testing to enhance code quality and maintainability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong understanding of the Golang programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms
  • Knowledge of common Goroutine and channel patterns
  • Experience with the full site of Go frameworks and tools, including:
  • Dependency management tools such as Godep, Sltr, etc.
  • Go’s templating language
  • Go’s code generation tools, such as go generate
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Comfortable working with ongoing learning and development; proactive in researching and implementing new technologies and tools
