Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our IT team, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of network systems, supporting both local and wide-area network configurations to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation: Design and deploy LAN, WAN, and VPN systems, ensuring optimal network configuration and performance.
Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
Network Security: Implement network security protocols, firewalls, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance, conduct regular network assessments, and optimize system efficiency and bandwidth utilization.
Configuration Management: Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, support, and security teams to align network solutions with business and security requirements.
Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform regular updates and upgrades on network infrastructure and software to ensure system robustness and up-to-date security.
Requirements:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with a solid understanding of network infrastructure in an IT environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network monitoring tools, and firewall/security solutions. Familiarity with network management systems.
Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant network certifications.
Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with a deep understanding of network diagnostics and performance optimization.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and support staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented and proactive in network performance and security
Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
