Job Description – Application Developer (Duck Creek Policy/Billing)

Location: Pan India

Experience: Minimum 3 years in Duck Creek Policy

Role Overview

As an Application Developer , you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and customizing Duck Creek applications to meet specific business requirements within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project needs, develop scalable solutions, and ensure seamless integration and performance of applications. The role demands strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on expertise in Duck Creek Policy/Billing modules, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently configure, customize, and optimize Duck Creek Policy and/or Billing solutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Policy Configuration (Policy CD) or Billing Configuration (Billing CD).
  • Participate actively in team discussions, design reviews, and solution brainstorming sessions.
  • Provide technical solutions and resolve application-related issues effectively.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure application functionality aligns with business goals.
  • Engage in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to enhance application performance and user experience.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, Duck Creek product updates, and emerging technologies.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Duck Creek Policy or Duck Creek Billing configuration and development.
  • Hands-on experience in:

  • Common Pages
  • View Model
  • Transact Property and Casualty Insurance Domain (Personal or Commercial Insurance implementation)
  • Proficiency with Duck Creek tools : Author, Express, Trace Monitor, Example Utility.
  • Solid understanding of application development methodologies, configuration, and customization.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with integration techniques and APIs for enterprise applications.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of MSSQL, XML, CSS, XSLT, XPath, REST APIs .
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
