Appian Developer

We are looking for a seasonedAppian Leadto design, lead, and deliver enterprise-grade business process management solutions using theAppian BPM platform . The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving solution architecture, technical leadership, sprint planning, and mentoring of Appian developers.This role requires deep Appian expertise, strong hands-on development skills, and proven experience leading Agile teams through the full software development lifecycle — from design and development to deployment and post-production support.Key Responsibilities :Technical Leadership & ArchitectureLead thedesign, development, and implementationof complex Appian BPM applications.Define and enforceAppian best practices , coding standards, and architecture patterns.Conductsolution design reviewsand provide guidance on scalability, reusability, and performance optimization.Collaborate with enterprise architects to integrate Appian applications with external systems viaREST APIs ,SOAP ,databases , andthird-party services .Review and validate all Appian objects, ensuringmaintainable, secure, and efficientcode.Oversee version control, deployment pipelines, and environment management (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod).Agile Delivery & Team ManagementLead an Agile delivery team throughsprint planning, grooming, estimation, demos, and retrospectives .Manage and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with product owners and business analysts.Guide developers in story refinement, acceptance criteria definition, and technical implementation.Coordinate withQA, DevOps, and production supportteams to ensure quality and timely delivery.Participate indaily standups ,cross-functional meetings , andclient interactionsto drive project success.Development & Quality AssuranceDesign and develop advancedSAIL interfaces ,process models ,records ,reports , andcustom integrations .Conductcode reviews ,peer mentoring , and ensure adherence to CI/CD and SDLC processes.Support QA and UAT efforts through regression testing, debugging, and root cause analysis.Continuously identify opportunities forprocess optimization, performance improvement , andbug resolution .Outcomes & DeliverablesHigh-quality, scalable Appian applications delivered across multiple sprints.Fully documentedapplication architecture ,deployment guides , andsupport runbooks .Well-maintainedAgile artifactsin JIRA or equivalent tools.Improvedcode quality , reduced defects, and consistent adherence to Appian best practices.Continuousmentorship and upskillingof junior Appian developers.Required Skills & Qualifications :7–12 yearsof total IT experience with5+ yearsin Appian BPM development and design.Strong expertise inAppian 21.x or later , including SAIL, Process Modeler, Records, Reports, and Integrations.In-depth understanding ofAppian architecture ,object design ,environment setup , anddeployment pipelines .Proficiency inREST/SOAP integrations ,RDBMS (SQL/PL-SQL) , andAppian plug-ins .Hands-on experience withAppian DevOpstools (Jenkins, Git, Automated Deployment Manager).Exposure toAgile/Scrummethodologies and tools such asJIRAorAzure DevOps .Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and fix complex issues quickly.Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of managingonshore/offshore teams .Desired Skills :Appian Certified Senior DeveloperorAppian Certified Lead Developer .Experience integrating Appian withenterprise systemslike Salesforce, SAP, or ServiceNow.Knowledge ofCI/CD pipelines ,Appian Cloud , andcontainerized deployments(Docker, Kubernetes).Exposure toAWSorAzureenvironments.Familiarity withITILandchange managementprocesses.
