Job Description – Lead Cybersecurity Engineer / Security ArchitectLocation: HyderabadEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-timeCompany: Quadrant IT ServicesAbout the RoleQuadrant IT Services is seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Engineer / Security Architect to strengthen our security posture across cloud, applications, and enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cybersecurity strategy, cloud security, DevSecOps automation, risk governance, and incident response , with a proven record of leading security transformations in large-scale organizations.This is a senior permanent role where the candidate will be expected to build the Cybersecurity team from the ground up and lead the Cyber Security vertical , ensuring robust governance, scalability, and long-term resilience for the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Security LeadershipDesign, implement, and manage enterprise-wide security architecture and frameworks across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments.Lead secure SDLC adoption, threat modeling, application security reviews, and WAF (F5 ASM) implementation.Drive DevSecOps practices, including automation of compliance checks, vulnerability management, and secure infrastructure provisioning.Cybersecurity Vertical OwnershipEstablish and grow the Cybersecurity team from the ground up , setting up processes, frameworks, and best practices.Act as the head of the Cybersecurity vertical , accountable for strategy, execution, and reporting to leadership.Build a strong pipeline of security talent and mentor engineers to achieve maturity in security operations.Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2, SOC2).Partner with leadership to balance business needs with security risk tolerance , translating technical risk into actionable business decisions.Continuously improve security policies, procedures, and audit readiness.Cybersecurity Operations & Incident ResponseWork with SOC and Incident Response teams to detect, investigate, and remediate security threats and incidents.Develop and optimize incident response playbooks to improve containment, recovery, and resilience.Implement proactive monitoring and security automation to reduce exposure to malicious events.Collaboration & MentorshipPartner with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices across development and infrastructure teams.Provide strategic mentorship to engineers and stakeholders on threat trends, secure coding, and compliance.Lead documentation, training, and awareness programs to promote a strong security culture.QualificationsMaster’s in Computer Science (Preferred: Texas A&M or equivalent) and Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering.17+ years of proven cybersecurity experience across cloud, DevSecOps, application security, and compliance.Certifications: ISC2 CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect (Pro), Azure Security Engineer, CEH Master, Google Cloud Architect, ITIL.Hands-on expertise in:AWS/Azure security services, IAM, Terraform, Okta/AD, CI/CD pipelines.Secure network design (VPCs, firewalls, WAFs).Application and product security reviews.Security automation and compliance monitoring tools.Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Why Join Quadrant IT Services?Opportunity to establish and lead the Cybersecurity vertical .Permanent position with long-term career growth.Work on cutting-edge security automation and compliance frameworks.Collaborative culture where innovation and security excellence are valued.
