At Pencil we are developing tools that empower creators to do magical work for brands, and we want to ensure we take a leadership position in the quality and impact of GenAI advertising.We’re looking for GenAI Art Directors who will direct a team of Gen AI Creators, as well as use the Pencil platform themselves to deliver high quality, high performing ads to either enterprise clients or small businesses. You will likely have a team working with you and by nature of your expertise they will largely engage with you to resolve creative challenges they are coming up against and overcome the limitations of GenAI today.You will require deep experience with GenAI tools and what they can do for creators, the advertising industry and for marketing clients - as well as the positivity, energy and lateral problem solving to explore and expand techniques to push beyond any perceived creative limitations. One key measure of your success will be your ability to inspire a team with creative solutions day-to-day. Doing this successfully will deliver impact for our clients and fame for your work, as well as make you one of the leading voices of the GenAI revolution.What you will be doing: Work with our Customer Success team to meet with clients, taking and refining briefs that meet client needs while best demonstrating GenAl capabilities within a systematic GenAI delivery processOversee GenAl Creator(s) to deliver brief(s) through all steps including insight, concept, copy, image & video generation and final creative assembly using different GenAl models and techniquesWhere necessary, directly intervene in developing, generating or manually retouching outputs to meet quality standards across briefsWork with our Customer Success team to present creative outputs to clients, taking feedback and managing expectations on what GenAl can and cannot doWork with our Customer Success team and GenAl Creator team to structure a GenAl delivery process that allows for steps, prompts, time taken etc. to be be shared transparently with clientsWork with our Training team to actively explore, implement and explain new GenAl techniques to help our wider user base achieve high quality creative outputsWork with our Product & Engineering teams to test new GenAl features and provide feedback to drive platform improvementsYour responsibilitiesYour KPIs will be linked to the following:Quality and client satisfaction of GenAI deliverablesPerformance of GenAI deliverablesCreation of knowledge and expertise in use of GenAI and sharing of this knowledge with GenAI CreatorsWhat You'll Need:Please be prepared to showcase your portfolioIdeally 8+ years’ experience in advertising creative developmentExperience with GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Jasper etc.Experience with GenAI techniques such as model selection & promptingAny experience using GenAI to deliver real-world advertising creativeProficiency in Adobe Creative CloudGood personal communication and proven team management skillsPreference for candidates who have prior agency experienceStrong written English skills, allowing you to communicate effectively with clients and teamAccess to a reliable computer with an internet connection exceeding 40 MbpsA collaborative and team-oriented attitude with optimism about the role of GenAI in creativityFMCG experience preferredA little bit about us:We are OLIVER+ (previously known as MORE), part of OLIVER and the Inside Ideas Group.We’re a global collective of creatives, technologists and production experts who create and maintain world-class content in film, CGI, motion design, digital, print and tech.
