Join us at the forefront of robotics, machine learning, and software, and let's make a lasting impact together As Head of Autonomy, you will lead the teams responsible for building the intelligence behind our robots. You will oversee the Robot Software, Machine Learning, and Data Annotation teams, with a focus on team structure, ownership, and execution. Your role is to ensure that teams are aligned, well-supported, and set up to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will also serve as the Site Lead for our Bangalore office. In this capacity, you will help shape the office culture, support coordination with global teams, and grow our presence in India’s technology ecosystem. This is a leadership role centered on building strong teams, setting direction, and ensuring consistent delivery. You will work closely with technical leaders, but will not be expected to own low-level design or implementation. Support planning and decision-making across autonomy, hardware, and product teams Create alignment across teams while helping to resolve prioritization or execution challenges Team Management Robot Software teams focusing on areas like high-level behaviors, system state, localization, mapping, and navigation Machine Learning teams focusing on robot perception, model development, ML platforms, and data management Data Annotation teams building scalable data pipelines and workflows Provide mentoring, feedback, and career development support for team members and leads Act as the senior leader for our Bangalore office and ensure strong alignment with our global team based in New Zealand. Cultivate a high-performance, inclusive engineering culture. Represent the company within India’s technology and robotics ecosystem. Build relationships with academic institutions, partners, and local communities. Drive execution across teams using structured planning and agile delivery practices Monitor progress against milestones, identify and resolve blockers, and ensure high-quality output Oversee validation and testing efforts to ensure real-world performance and safety Experience At least 10 years of experience in robotics or AI, including 5 years in management or technical leadership roles Strong understanding of autonomy systems such as SLAM, planning, perception, and ML-based decision-making Proven experience scaling and structuring engineering teams with clear ownership and cross-functional alignment Familiarity with tools and frameworks including Python, C++, ROS, and machine learning stacks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow Build a category-defining robotics product that aims to improve everyday life for millions Join a smart, collaborative, world-class team in a fast-paced and flexible environment Work from our new 23,508 sq ft modern office in HSR Layout, designed for focus, teamwork, and execution Enjoy competitive pay, stock options, healthcare, and great office perks
