Company Description gephr is a research lab based in Hyderabad, India, focused on developing indigenous, commercially viable, and safe general-purpose humanoid robots. The lab is committed to creating innovative technology to eliminate dirty, dangerous, and menial tasks performed by humans. Role Overview As a Robotics Software Engineer , you will play a critical role in developing and deploying software for our humanoid robot using NVIDIA’s Isaac platform on Jetson hardware. Your expertise in robotics algorithms, real-time systems, and software optimization will help bring our vision to life. Key Responsibilities • Software Development: Design, develop, and optimize robotics software on the NVIDIA Isaac platform. • Perception Systems: Implement and integrate computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms to enable advanced perception capabilities. • Motion Planning: Develop motion control and path planning algorithms tailored for humanoid locomotion and manipulation. • Simulation & Testing: Create and maintain physics-based simulations for testing and refining robotic behaviors. • Performance Optimization: Optimize software performance for real-time operation on Jetson hardware. • Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, mechanical, and design teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware. • Debugging & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and update software as required to ensure system reliability and performance. Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. • 3+ years of experience in robotics software development. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++. • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Isaac SDK and Jetson hardware. • Strong understanding of robotics concepts, including kinematics, dynamics, and control systems. • Experience with ROS/ROS2 and its ecosystem. • Knowledge of computer vision techniques and deep learning frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, Py Torch). Preferred: • Familiarity with humanoid robot design and behavior modeling. • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS). • Knowledge of reinforcement learning or simulation-based training. • Contributions to open-source robotics projects.
