Tcs HiringTCS is having virtual interview for skill DB2 Database administrator At TCS Kolkata location on 30th Oct 2025exp req:9 to 15 yrsMode Of interview: VirtualJDDesired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)Must-Have9–15 years of experience as a DB2 Database Administrator.In-depth knowledge of db2 database versions 10.5, 11.1, 11.5, 12 etc.Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 LUW and/or DB2 z/OS database platforms.Database Administration – DB2 LUW Support critical production environment.Familiarity with monitoring tools like db2top, IBM Data Server Manager.Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization.Experience with DB2 commands: - Stop/Start Databases, Display command, Cancel thread and Term & Display utility, others.Hands on experience on DB2 utilities: Reorg and Runstat, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities.Ability to bind/rebind the Plans/Packages and Granting required accesses to Packages/Plans/Collections.Experience in Database replication – IBM DB2 Data Propagator.DB2 administration - Strong Troubleshooting skills.Must have performed Db2 migrationAddition and removal of hosts from the cluster manager and shared file system.Good communication skills with both technical and management teamsGood-to-HaveExperience with remote installation and configuration of the Db2 pure scale feature.Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL DB administration.Experience in database security auditing and compliance.Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform tools for database deployment automation.Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are a strong plus.Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures.
