About the Team:The Infra team is responsible for handling complete infra across the Cleartrip organisation primarily hosted on GCP. The team is responsible for making sure that the infrastructure scales and enables Engineering teams to build and deploy softwares quickly and reliably. The team also ensures that we are up to date when it comes to security and certifications and are following indurstry standards for all technologies being used at Cleartrip.You are responsible forManaging all SQL and Mongo Clusters across CleartripPerformance and cost optimisationCollaborate with all LOBsMigrations and Upgrades and Patch updatesFollowing best practices in terms of reliability, availability and securityControl accessObservabilityEstablish process and policies to make sure databases integrity is maintainedEnsures that all databases are maintained properly in order to maximize performance of all database applicationsEnsures solutions meet business objectives and establishes and maintains a high level of user trust and confidenceTo succeed in the role - you should have the following:Strong Problem Solving SkillsStrong sense of ownership and desire to create impactExperience supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or NoSQL environmentsManage backup and recovery processes including replication for failover environments disaster recoveryMonitor Performance and TuningEnsure DB implementation (Standards)Test solutions and ensure it meets specificationsEngineer and maintain database solutions specific to a shared cloud operations environmentWork with project management resources related to the implementation and sustained configuration management of the database environmentOwn configuration change activities required to deploy and maintain the shared database environmentCreate and maintain documentation to support configuration management of the shared database environmentCreate knowledge base articles that can be used by tier one and tier two support engineers in response to routine incidents around the shared database environment
