Dev Ops Release Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Release engineer to join our team as part of SCS Dev Ops Org.
Responsibilities/Skills:
• Clear understanding and proven implementations of multiple software development methodologies: Waterfall, Extreme Programming, Agile (Scrum, Kanban).
• Champion of all best practices and principles espoused by CI/CD.
• Strong AWS experience and Infrastructure Automation (like ansible, Cloud formation, Terraform).
• Expert level knowledge of Jenkins/Cloud Bees. Configuration of all Jenkins resources such as masters, agents, plug ins, folders, projects, pipelines, and jobs. Expert level knowledge of Jenkins pipelines. Proven ability to create Jenkinsfile pipeline using Groovy.
• Able to manage GIT or Subversion repositories. Strong command line knowledge of the multiple commands provided by these tools. Strong knowledge of branching and tagging strategies and how they apply to various software development life cycles.
• Strong understanding of Software Engineering, Software requirements, design, implementation, testing, maintenance, configuration management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain ideas, design and implementation plan.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 6 to 8 years of experience in Dev Ops Release engineering.
• Practitioner of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Expert level knowledge of Jenkins/Cloud Bees and Source Control
(like Git, Bitbucket, Git Hub, Artifactory).
• Strong knowledge and experience with atleast one of the following:
Java, Groovy, Java Script.
• Good working AWS experience. Infrastructure Automation
(like Cloud formation, Troposphere, Terraform)
• Container Concepts (Docker, Kubernetes or AWS ECS)
• Solid experience with Configuration Management Frameworks such as Ansible or Puppet
• Experience with Groovy, Python, Ruby and Shell Scripting
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix system administration.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Should be tech savvy and open to learn new technologies on need basis.
Qualification: Masters / Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or related field
