Location: Mumbai

Experience Range: 7 to 10 years


Job Description:

Desired Competencies:

  • Minimum 4 to 10 years of Hands-on operating system such as Linux, Unix. ·
  • Knowledge of overall Server management, Performance Tunning & Shell scripting. ·
  • Expertise in Infra domain and Operations.


Good To Have:

  • Knowledge of Bank Domain, Server management, OS RHEL, Storage, Network configuration, Package management, Security.


Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain servers, as well as manage server performance and availability.
  • Planning and implementing system upgrades to optimize the Linux environment.
  • User administration – Managing users accounts, permission, and access to resources
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies
  • Strong knowledge on LVM concept on RHEL.
  • Help troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat
  • Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions and applications on an on-demand basis.
  • Maintain server uptime and network performance.
  • Monitor daily systems, evaluate the availability of all server resources, and carry out all Linux server tasks.
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
  • Creating and maintaining Shell scripting to automate the repetitive tasks and system processes.
  • Hands-on on Ansible.
  • Updates and patch management – Applying updates, patches, and security fixes to keep the system up-to-date and secure.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network settings, ensuring connectivity, and managing firewalls.
  • Monitoring system performance, identifying issues and implementing solutions for Optimal performance.
  • Performing security hardening on Operating systems.
  • Implementing Backup and Recovery strategies and ensuring data recovery mechanism
  • Ensuring systems comply with relevant regulations and security standards.
  • Strong knowledge on solving vulnerability assessments for secure systems.
  • Experience on VMWare to manage the Linux servers.
  • Knowledge on Private cloud setup
