DESCRIPTION:
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

AWS OpenSearch Service makes it easy for customers to perform interactive log analytics, real-time application monitoring, website search, and more. OpenSearch is an open source, distributed search and analytics suite derived from Elasticsearch. AWS OpenSearch Service currently has tens of thousands of active customers with hundreds of thousands of clusters under management processing trillions of requests per month.
Senior TPMs are amazing and so by definition You Are Amazing. You can load multiple complex interconnected systems into your head and find the one place we need to invest to make them better. You act like a human semaphore, communicating seamlessly across orgs and aligning teams towards coherent technology strategies. Ambiguity? Key job responsibilities
- Have both a technical and project management background which allows you to see around corners and understand the consequences of events and decisions.
- Have high judgement and a high bias for action. You're able to drive large engineering efforts that solve significantly complex or endemic problems.
- Be able to identify problems and solve them using mechanisms ( so they don't happen again.
- Have superlative communication skills. You put the right people in the room and drive business and technical discussions. You are clear and concise in both verbal and written communication

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
