Lead Software Engineer

About the role - Lead Software Engineer
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will:
- Lead innovative solutions to complex technical problems
- Attract talent by living the values and creating an inclusive environment for others to thrive in
- Continuously improve the engineering culture by being engaged in recruitment and participating in community activities, conducting training, authoring blog posts, filing patents etc.
- Contribute to design-level decisions
- Advocate for open source, and internal re-use
- Champion the adoption of enterprise tech standards and architecture patterns
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At Least 8 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply)
- At Least 3 years of experience in building software using at least 1 of the following: Golang, Java, Python, React (TypeScript), Rust, C++
- At Least 3 years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 1+ year of experience with Big Data, Data Security, Governance and Controls
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At Least 10 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply)
- At Least 5 years of experience in distributed microservices
- At Least 5 years of experience in building software using at least 2 of the following: Golang, Java, Python, React (TypeScript), Rust, C++
- At Least 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- At Least 2 years of experience with Big Data, Data Security, Governance and Controls
- At Least 2 years of experience in Agile practices
