Location: Pune (Aundh) - Work From Office

Opportunity:

Join our innovative team as a Lead Database Administrator (DBA) and contribute to revolutionizing the financial technology sector by ensuring the robustness and security of our database infrastructure.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in Database Administration is mandatory

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify database system requirements and performance objectives.
  • Schedule and coordinate database maintenance activities, including backups, upgrades, and patch deployments.
  • Oversee and direct the implementation of database solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Design and implement database schemas, indexes, and query optimization strategies to maximize performance and scalability.
  • Plan and execute database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing, to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning exercises to optimize database resource utilization and ensure scalability.
  • Monitor and evaluate database system performance and health, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for junior DBAs and other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Mentor and guide junior DBAs, providing technical expertise and leadership to support their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in PostgreSQL administration, or related technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing techniques.
  • Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS and GDPR.
