Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services necessary for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and excellent negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Engineer or in a similar role for 4 to 5 years maximum.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering materials and components.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Solid Works Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
