Spirent Communications | Staff PV Engineer | bangalore

Responsibilities:
Design and develop Test-Plan and Test-Cases for the product / feature requirements. Review effort estimates and provide inputs for project schedules.
Perform manual and automated tests across different phases for Feature or Product development.
Interact with Customer / Customer-Support Team for initial triaging of reported issues.
Understand and gather the Customer expectations while working on network test topologies or any Proof-Of-Concepts.
Generate ideas to solve complex and/or open-ended problems with multiple approaches to reach an optimal solution subject-matter specialist in network test engineering.
Assist the team in reproducing, analysing, and debugging internal and external product defects.
Administer proper Regression areas and enhance tests for better performance.
Test and qualify new hardware platforms against protocol functional and scale performance.
Work with the team in an Agile environment. Coordinate across functional teams.
Adhering to the timelines and meeting deadlines as committed.
Job Requirement:
BS/Btech/MS/Mtech/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institution.
6 to 12+ year of relevant Industry Experience with primary responsibilities in Software Testing Domain. - Required
Experience in Software test methodologies and practices. - Required
Excellent understanding of Networking fundamentals and Protocols across TCP/IP stack (Layer-2, Layer-3 Protocols). - Required
Experience in automation, scripting in Python, Perl, TCL or other languages, SmartTest/Jenkin tools. - Required
Excellent analytical skills, debugging and troubleshooting skills – Required
Ability to configure Routing Switching devices with Protocol specific configuration - Required
Excellent communication skills – Required
CCNA / CCNP /CCIE or equivalent certification. - Preferred
Familiarity with Network Test Equipment or Routing/Switching devices will be an advantage.
