Regulatory Compliances and Licensing:


● Lead regulatory approvals / registration/licensing activities and ensure all approvals are obtained

from relevant regulatory agencies on time.

● Creating and monitoring reporting avenues for compliance issues to Management (e.g., Whistle

Blow)

● Ensure Smooth Food regulatory compliance of the organization by Creating and implementing

necessary process, and overseeing related aspects

● Proactively provide strategic advice on a range of regulatory issues (like health safety and

environment, Food Safety, pollution control, customs, product liability).

● Ensuring that all the Licenses to be up-to-date essential for running the Business-like Shop and

Establishment, FSSAI, Tea Board of India, MSME, Factory License, Trade license, Manufacture

License for all the group companies and it associates.

● Ensuring implementation of regulatory policy across the organization in compliance with company

standard and polices – FSSAI and Legal Metrology compliance for all the products.

● Keeping abreast of all food regulations and amendments as per FSSAI norms.

● Co-ordination and communication with agencies, consultants or local bodies for license related

troubleshooting/ implementation of standards laid down by them and ensure appropriate

documentation / paper work or any other related process.

● Establish stake holder engagement matrix and engage with various central and state authorities on

regular basis.

Quality Control:

● Co-ordinate with QC executives at plant for regular compliance activities (Eg. Product internal QC,

external testing)

● Making periodical testing requirements for foods as per FSSR requirement.

● Leading all food safety and regulatory activities in India and other countries to ensure product

compliance.

● Leading product safety activities, including testing and complaint resolution.

Product Label Validation & Trademarks:

Trademark:

● Liaison between the management and the agency for application/ renewal of trademarks. Proof

reading and approval of drafts for oppositions/ counter statements for protection of the registered/

applied trademarks.

● Provide required documentation to the agency.

● Search and validation of trademark registration agencies.

● Maintain and make available appropriate trademark certificates whenever required.

Product Labelling:

● Validation of compliance labels of existing products as per applicable regulations.

● Liaison between marketing personnel and graphic designer for making compliance sticker.


● Overlook private labelling artwork and suggest changes if necessary.

● Liaison between management and external agency for understanding and incorporating changes in

the label as per exporting country regulations (e.g., USFDA, EU etc)

● Maintenance of Barcode Master required for retail product labelling.

Regulatory Audit:

● Create, document sound internal controls and ensure adherence to them.

● Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses.

● Plan and communicate audit plan quarterly/ half yearly to evaluate GMP processes being carried

out.

● Audit plan will include planned audit, surprise audits to plant, warehouse, stores for the group

company and its associates.

● Conduct internal audit and review of internal audit to ensure compliance to statutory & regulatory

requirements, management requirements, key client requirements

● Collaborate with external auditors, HODs when needed.

● Present the audit finding to the Management and suggest appropriate actions to address the gaps

and minimize the risk of non-compliance.

● Maintain and share weekly/monthly compliance tracker with Directors.

● Lead internal and external audit compliances.

● Handling Customer complaint.
