The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CPT,ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems, and be familiar with compliance anddocumentation guidelines related to anesthesia billing.Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze anesthesia medical records and operative reports toassign appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and ASA codes. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal regulations andinsurance guidelines. Stay updated with current coding regulations, payer policies, andanesthesia-specific coding changes. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and coding software efficiently toensure timely billing. Perform audits and quality checks to maintain a high standard of codingaccuracy and reduce claim denials. Support training or mentoring of junior coders as needed.Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in anesthesia coding. Certification required: CPC, COC, CIC, or CRC (AAPC) or CCS-P/CCS(AHIMA). Strong understanding of ASA coding guidelines and anesthesia modifiers. Experience with EMR and medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner,Athena, etc.). Strong communication skills to interact with providers and supportteams.
