Library Strategy & Planning:  Provide overall leadership for the management of Library operations, services and resources including campus libraries and library support for extension centres, teaching, sites, and distance learning in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.  Collaborate with core leadership, program chair, faculty and/ or related group level entities in order to develop, communicate and manage a strategic plan, daily operations, and projects arising for JI Library, including its digital library.  Prepare, submit and put into effect the yearly library plan in order to gauge the contribution towards realizing the Institute’s strategy and mission.  Oversee the development and delivery of Jio Institute’s digital library services & platform that support education, research and innovation excellence. People Management  recruit, lead and mentor key senior management staff to provide clear vision and sense of mission for the Jio Institute.  Guide team of librarians, curators, system administrators and technology architects to build and maintain a combination of robust, scalable yet flexible spaces for library  Oversee the selection, supervision, professional development, and evaluation of library staff covering following functions: - Digital Library Systems & Service essential for both the analog Library’s services as well as the development and operation of the Institute Library; Public Services & Collection Development and Management; Special Collections; Participate and be involved in academic affairs and curriculum committees, to develop a content portfolio products and services for the institute  Fostering partnerships with leading global and Indian institutes, associations, library consortiums Masters or doctorate in library management or library science; Experience:  15-20 years of experience in library information sciences, digital libraries, business information services, research services, knowledge management, scholarly publishing and digital technologies for extending campus-based learning & extended education or other relevant areas  Demonstrated specialization in digital library technology or equivalent is desired.  Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of the digital transformation of library operations including extensive knowledge of contemporary digital library practices, trends and emerging technologies.  An institution builder who has experience of working in green-field settings  Substantial knowledge and experience of academic, research and digital libraries  Excellent and accomplished scholar recognized within a global network of leading libraries  Substantial and demonstrated knowledge and experience of academic, research and digital libraries including management of budgets, personnel, vendor and professional association relationships, and internal and multi-institution projects.  Working knowledge and experience in a broad spectrum of library operation units: Digital Library Systems & Services, Public Services & Collection, Acquisition & Preservation, Special Collection and Shared Services. Leadership & management skills to build and foster close relationships with groups involved in library environment developments and standards articulation 
