Towards this we are looking for an Accounts Executive - Logistics, who can manage the teams in Chennai and Baroda remotely.


Job Summary


The Accounts Executive will manage and oversee the financial operations within the logistics sector, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of accounts, billing, and financial records. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external clients to maintain accurate records, ensure timely payments, and facilitate effective financial planning and analysis to support business objectives.


Key Responsibilities


1.Financial Record Maintenance:

  - Prepare, examine, and maintain accurate financial records for all transactions.

  - Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable with statements.

  - Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and maintain accurate ledger entries.

2. Billing and Invoicing:

  - Generate and issue invoices to clients and track payments.

  - Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on pending invoices, and handle discrepancies.

3. Expense and Revenue Tracking:

  - Record and track expenses, costs, and revenues associated with logistics operations.

  - Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

  - Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.

  - Provide regular analysis and reporting on financial health and forecast cash flow requirements.

5. Taxation and Compliance:

  - Ensure compliance with local, state  tax regulations.

  - Prepare and submit tax filings and other statutory requirements.

6. Audit Support:

  - Coordinate with auditors to facilitate periodic audits.

  - Prepare documentation and reports as required for internal and external audits.

7.Coordination with Other Departments:

  - Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial forecasting.

  - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for reconciliations and payments.


Qualifications


- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the logistics or transportation sector.

- Proficiency in accounting software Tally.

- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, taxation, and compliance.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Skills


- Familiarity with logistics operations and cost structures.

- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.

- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
