From ensuring reliable performance in dynamic, real-world environments to refining testing methodologies for cutting-edge control systems, your work will drive innovation, enhance system reliability, and help shape the future of autonomous underwater technologies. What You’ll Do: Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate new features and optimize existing solutions, offering insights gained from testing and analysis. Lead the definition, design, and execution of product verification and validation activities throughout the product development life cycle Implement and automate software verification tests by defining and delivering test cases written against software requirements Analyze and simulate requirements per customer specifications or developed internal product requirements Execute complex testing, perform in-depth statistical analysis, and interpret results independently What We’re Looking For: Proven Proficiency in System Integration: Ability to work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, integrating insights from different engineering domains into the testing process. Strong understanding of sensor integration, ROS-based autonomy systems, and Linux-based tools for debugging and optimization. Collaboration on testing modular robotics software to ensure easy scalability and effective deployment in varied operational conditions. Expertise in Autonomy Testing and Validation: Proven experience in leading field tests for Autonomous Vehicles specifically focusing on testing the full functionality and capabilities of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems under real-world conditions. Demonstrated success in validating key autonomy behaviors such as waypoint navigation. Control Precision and System Fine-tuning: Expertise in ensuring that AUVs meet precision requirements, including maintaining control error margins of less than 1% during underwater operations, and fine-tuning parameters such as turning radius and yaw stability to meet specified thresholds. Proficiency in optimizing stability, disturbance rejection, and achieving responsiveness in real-time testing conditions. Testing Protocol Development & Execution: Proven ability to design and execute rigorous, repeatable field-testing protocols, ensuring comprehensive validation across all system components. Skilled in designing diagnostic tools for real-time analysis, monitoring AUV autonomy software, and making quick data-driven decisions during field testing.
