We've built our success purely through exceptional delivery and strong client partnerships.We are expanding our engineering leadership team and are looking for a Lead Software Developer / Software Architect to drive backend architecture, API development, and enterprise-grade data ingestion systems.Role OverviewYou will architect and lead the development of backend systems, data pipelines, and cloud-native solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong documentation, design clarity, and leadership.Key Responsibilities- Backend Architecture: Design scalable backend systems, APIs, and data ingestion workflows.- API Development: Build RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI).- Data Pipelines: Architect ingestion pipelines for structured & unstructured data.- Cloud Engineering: Develop and optimize cloud-native solutions (Azure preferred).- Technical Documentation: Own architecture docs, API contracts, and design specs.- Architecture Diagrams: Create clear diagrams (Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio).- Performance & Security: Ensure systems meet enterprise scalability and security standards.- DevOps Collaboration: Work with CI/CD, IaC, Docker/Kubernetes.- Team Leadership: Mentor developers, conduct reviews, drive engineering best practices.- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with product, data, and business teams.Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI)- Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms- Expertise in API design, microservices, and data ingestion pipelines- Familiarity with streaming tools: Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows- Solid knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases- Excellent technical documentation and architecture diagramming skills- Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesInterested?
