Job Summary:
Sarvang Infotech India Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive News Analyst to join our team in Jharsuguda. The role involves daily tracking and analyzing media coverage across state-level and local newspapers, as well as online news portals, in Odia, Hindi, and English to identify and document news relevant to our company and its stakeholders. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely reporting of significant updates and providing insights into the company’s media presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. News Monitoring & Analysis:
• Read daily newspapers (state-level and local) and online news portals in Odia, Hindi, and English .
• Identify and extract news articles, press mentions, or stories relevant to the company.
• Categorize and organize news based on topics such as corporate mentions, competitors, and industry trends.
2. Data Management:
• Upload extracted news and articles into the company’s system accurately.
• Maintain a well-organized database of daily news for tracking and reporting purposes.
3. Report Preparation:
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports summarizing media coverage in all three languages.
• Highlight key insights and trends relevant to the company and its stakeholders.
4. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the PR and Corporate Communications teams to share findings.
• Assist in generating actionable insights from media coverage to support strategic decision-making.
5. Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all captured news is accurate, credible, and relevant before uploading to the system.
• Cross-verify sources and ensure reliability of the information.
6. Additional Duties:
• Stay updated with local and industry-specific news trends across all three languages.
• Monitor social media platforms for potential company mentions, if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in media monitoring, news analysis, or related roles is preferred.
• Freshers with strong analytical and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with content management systems or media tracking tools is a plus.
• Language Skills:
• Fluency in Odia, Hindi, and English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
• Other Skills:
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify relevant news efficiently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Location: Jharsuguda WFH role with occasional fieldwork if necessary.
