Job Summary

KLH University, a premier university, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished academic leader to assume the role of Head of Department (HOD) for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department. The CSE department is committed in providing high-quality education, fostering research, and preparing students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving technology sector such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the academic and administrative functions of the CSE department.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with industry standards and the university's strategic goals.
  • Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and performance management to ensure academic excellence.
  • Support during all the accreditation processes with the administration.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by supporting faculty and students and collaborating with industry partners.
  • Ensure that students receive high-quality educational experiences, including internships, projects, and industry collaborations.
  • Coordinate with other departments and administrative units to promote cross-disciplinary learning and institutional development.
  • Monitor student progress and outcomes, including mentoring, guidance, and support for student success initiatives.
  • Organize and oversee events such as workshops and conferences to enhance student engagement and professional development.
  • Stay updated of technological advancements and integrate new developments into academic programs.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and infrastructure.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science with a strong academic foundation.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with education or work experience from IITs, NITs, IIITs, or institutions ranked in the NIRF top 50.
  • Industry experience is an added advantage.
  • Expertise in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.
  • Proven track record of publishing in reputed journals and presenting at prominent conferences.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing academic-industry collaborations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, make informed decisions, and align with departmental objectives.
