Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA with expertise in RPG (Report Program Generator) programming to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing quality assurance activities to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software applications. You will be collaborating closely with development teams to conduct testing, report issues, and ensure that the final product meets both functional and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform manual and automated testing for RPG-based applications.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and troubleshoot defects, providing detailed issue reports.
  • Ensure that software meets the quality standards by conducting functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Support the creation and execution of test strategies in agile environments.
  • Ensure testing aligns with the development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and assist with test automation efforts, if applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on RPG programming .
  • In-depth knowledge of RPG programming and its application in QA testing.
  • Expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test case creation , bug tracking , and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Strong knowledge of agile testing practices and environments.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cloud-based applications and platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or related field (or equivalent work experience).
