Associate - finance

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Associate to manage our day-to-day accounting operations and ensure smooth financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in maintaini books of accounts, processing payments, and managing documentation. This role is critical in maintaining the operational efficiency of our finance function and requires someone with attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Day-to-Day Accounting
○ Processing and recording all accounting entries
○ Maintaining books of accounts
○ Managing petty cash
○ Vendor bill processing and payment
○ Employee reimbursement processing
○ Function as a SPOC to liaison with banks for document processing
● Accounts Payable
○ Managing timely vendor payments and tracking aging
○ Processing employee claims and reimbursements
○ Maintaining vendor and customer master data
○ Reconciling vendor statements
○ Make online / offline payments with approvals after ensuring the Statutory deductions like T ESI, PF, etc.
○ Payment of TDS, GST, ESI, PF, Profession Tax, etc.
● Documentation & Support
○ Maintaining accounting records and supporting documents
○ Filing and organizing financial documents
○ Supporting internal and external audits including preparation of schedules
○ Assisting in the preparation of various reconciliations
○ Preparation of monthly / quarterly & annual returns of TDS and GST, uploading on the respective sites before the due dates
○ Reconcile bank statements and maintain proper documentation for all financial activities.
QUALIFICATIONS FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE
● Education and Certification
○ A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required along with an M. Com. in a finance-related fields
● Experience:
○ 3-4 years of experience in Finance.
○ Experience working in small to mid-sized companies and executive leadership in a multicultural environment.
○ Proficiency in accounting software (Net Suite preferred but not a barrier).
○ Strong MS Excel skills and a quick learner.
○ Strong working knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
○ Basic understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
○ Good understanding of financial controls and compliance with financial regulations and tax laws.
○ Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
○ Knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance would be a plus.
