Job Role :

Manage the central packaging material supply on day to day basis. Ensure availability of the packaging material required for all the POD's across locations and vendor development for the same.

What you would do :

Procurement -

• Identify the vendors for various packaging material based upon set specifications.
• Create and execute annual/ quarterly contracts for the different packaging material.

Vendor development & Management -

• Work closely with Pod ops team to identify requirements for packaging material. Get samples from different vendors for testing by the internal teams. Based upon the internal checks, finalize the vendors.
• Conduct price-benefit analysis for all packaging material and ensure all vendors are onboarded as per target defined in each city/ location.
• Work with the onboarded vendors for capacity planning to meet the business plans.
• Develop new vendors to decrease dependencies on single vendors as a risk mitigation.
• Evaluate the vendor partners based upon set criteria and rate them to ensure their growth along with business. Create and manage working relationship with vendors to contribute to growth plans.

Stakeholder management -

• Liaise with Pod ops for identification of packaging material requirements.
• Liaise with Finance for reconciliation and timely payment to all vendors.

Desired Experience :

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the packaging materials industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HDPE and PP raw materials used in packaging product manufacturing.
• Familiarity with plastic industry leaders such as Uflex, Huhtamaki PPL, ALPA Plastics, etc.
• Understanding of sustainable packaging solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
