Job Title: Senior System Administrator
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our Managed Services Provider division. This role is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring security, efficiency, and high availability of services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server environments, advanced skills in PowerShell scripting, and a commitment to continuous improvement in technology practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Windows Server Management : Administer, configure, and maintain various Windows Server versions, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
PowerShell Scripting : Develop and implement advanced PowerShell scripts for automation, system configuration, and operational efficiency.
Server Role Oversight : Manage server roles including DNS, DHCP, File Services, and IIS, focusing on performance and reliability.
Network Security Management : Configure and maintain firewalls and VPNs, ensuring robust network security and compliance with industry standards.
Active Directory and Group Policy Administration : Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory and Group Policy, ensuring effective user and security management.
Virtualization Platform Management : Manage and optimize virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware for high availability and performance.
System Monitoring and Maintenance : Conduct regular system monitoring and maintenance, proactively addressing potential issues.
Incident Management : Rapidly respond to and resolve technical emergencies and outages, minimizing service impact.
Process Improvement and Automation : Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance system efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration.
Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
Solid understanding of networking protocols and security practices.
Extensive experience in Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Extensive experience with virtualization technologies like Hyper-V or VMware.
