Our South Florida franchisee’s (SFF-MBFS) M&A deal team is industry agnostic and has 80+ years of cumulative experience in successfully advising in $5 B+ in lower-middle market M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions.
This is a full-time, remote role for an Investment Banking Associate.
SFF-MBFS Associates are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation, and analytical aptitude.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be driven and detail-oriented while having a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly. SFF-MBFS places a special emphasis on excellence in work products and presentations. Responsibilities
Preparing historical and projected financial statements, quality of earnings analysis, provide analysis of financial implications of mergers and acquisitions and conducting valuation analysis
Involved in execution activities including (but not limited) to data gathering, analysis and material preparation, as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation
Develop marketing and support materials including (but not limited) executive summaries, confidential information memorandums (CIM), and management presentations
Facilitate data requests from clients
Support financial, commercial, operational and legal due diligence
Interact with clients’ senior executives and institutional financial sponsors
Supports senior team members in marketing/origination activities
Applicants wishing to apply should meet the following criteria:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Solid interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and analysis
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work on multiple tasks
Possess good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
M&A, capital raising, investment banking, accounting or other relevant experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years investment banking work experience with a top-tier investment required
Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques and transaction execution
Strong proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word
Masters degree or higher in business, accounting, finance, and or economics
CFA or working towards CFA designation is a plus
