Job Description:Strong installation and database administration experience on DB2 11.x and 10.x versionDatabase upgrade to DB2 11.x and migration experienceUsing DB2 tools for performanceDatabase security and DB2 lockingMoving data across environmentImplement and manage HADR and split mirror database copyManage DB2 DPF partitioned databaseAbout the RoleService Request, Incident, Problem and Change managementsExperience on ITIL Tools like Remedy, Service Now or any other ticketing toolMonitoring Tools – HP OMI, OEM, RedGate, SQL Sentry, Azure Admin PortalExcellent verbal and written Communication SkillsWorking in teamsFlexibility, Good AttitudeOperational ExcellenceQuality of deliveryResponsibilitiesInstallation and administration of DB2 11.x, 10.x on Linux, UNIX and Windows serversCreation and maintenance of UDB DB2 instances, databases, schema and objectsCreation and execution of backup and recovery strategies and procedure implementationSetup and execution of standard database utilitiesExperienced in handling UDB DB2 security and loggingEvents, database performance and availability monitoringSQL, database and application performance monitoring and tuningEvaluation and testing new versions of UDB DB2Analyzes the issue to determine the root cause and develop solution or escalate to next levelDatabase growth trend analysis and capacity recommendationDatabase reorganization planningDesign and extract the script from physical Data modelingCoordinate with database vendors for resolutionInstall Client software and troubleshoot connectivity issuesCreate and troubleshoot DB2 and shell scriptsPrimarily role is supporting the production and non-prod database environmentsProvide 24x7 and on call support for critical application databasesQualificationsExperience Level: 4 to 6 YearsLocation of Posting: Pune & CochinRequired SkillsPrimary Skill (Technical Skill): UDB DB2 DBAAny of Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Sybase – L1 levelOS - Solaris/Linux/AIX/HP UNIX & WindowsCloud – DaaS / IaaSTools – Monitoring / Ticketing / BackupPreferred SkillsSecondary Skill (At least one in OS and DB / Open Source)OS - Solaris/Linux/AIX/HP UNIX & WindowsDatabase – Oracle / MySQL/MS SQL & Windows OS / Sybase / PostgreSQL/MongoDB/SAP HANA / Open Source DB
