Job SummaryAs an Open Stack Administrator, you will be responsible for administration, configuration, deploying, installation and maintaining Open Stack infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Open Stack components, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.About the jobLocation: Remote (Need basis visit to office location)Location: OffshoreDetailed Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities• Deploy, configure, and manage Open Stack environments using Kolla-Ansible and Triple O.• Design, deploy, and maintain Ceph storage clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.• Manage block storage (Cinder), file storage (Manila), and object storage (such as Ceph RGW/S3, Swift, or equivalent).• Maintain and optimize Open Stack control plane and compute resources for performance, scalability, and reliability.• Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Open Shift.• Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.• Integrate Open Stack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.• Participate in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and application deployments.• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.• Support capacity planning, incident management, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.Required Skills & Qualifications• 7–10 years of hands-on Open Stack experience, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.• Proven experience deploying Open Stack using Kolla-Ansible (container-based deployment) and Triple O (bare-metal deployment).• Relevant 3–5 years of experience with containerization technologies, primarily Docker.• Relevant 2–3 years of experience with Kubernetes and/or Open Shift administration.• Proficiency in Ceph storage setup and management for block, file, and object storage (S3, Swift, or equivalent).• Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.• Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (preferably RHEL/Cent OS/Ubuntu).• Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments (VLANs, VXLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.• RHCE certified.Good-to-Have Skills• Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.• Understanding of cloud security best practices.Education• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
