Job Title: Data Engineering Leader Location: Pune Experience: 15+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Data Engineering Leader to help build and scale our Data Practice. This leadership role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, strong delivery acumen, and a passion for driving data-led transformation in the banking & financial services domain. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for shaping the data engineering strategy, leading high-impact client engagements, and building a world-class team. Engage with banking & financial services clients to understand business priorities, regulatory requirements, and data challenges. Ensure all data solutions are compliant with industry regulations (e.g., Lead the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms and pipelines. Drive delivery excellence across engagements—ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Establish best practices for data governance, observability, lineage, and quality. Enable mission-critical use cases such as fraud detection, risk modeling, personalization, and regulatory reporting. Practice & Capability Building Build and scale a high-performing data engineering team with expertise in cloud, big data, and financial services. data mesh, GenAI, AI-driven data ops) and integrate them into offerings. Recruit, mentor, and grow top talent in data engineering and architecture. Skills & Experience Required: ~15+ years of experience in data/software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. ~ Proven experience delivering large-scale data platforms in financial services, banking, or payments. ~ Strong client-facing experience, including solutioning, delivery leadership, and stakeholder management. ~ Hands-on expertise in cloud and big data ecosystems: AWS/GCP/Azure, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake/Redshift, Delta Lake, Airflow, Kubernetes. ~ Deep understanding of financial data domains: customer, payments, fraud, credit, risk, regulatory. ~ Opus Technologies is shaping the future of digital banking & payments.
