The Art Teacher will be responsible for designing lesson plans, developing art curricula, teaching a range of art techniques, and guiding students in exploring their creativity. The role entails conducting engaging classroom activities, providing constructive feedback on student work, and cultivating a positive environment that promotes artistic growth and self-expression. In addition to classroom responsibilities, the Art Teacher is expected to actively participate in events organised by Sevita, including workshops, exhibitions, community projects, and any initiatives undertaken by the organisation. This involvement is an essential part of the role, contributing to Sevita’s mission of promoting and sustaining visual arts within the community. Qualifications Experience in Visual Arts Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to create engaging and educational art programs Proficiency in Teaching and Art Education to cater to diverse learning styles and inspire students Skills in Painting and other artistic techniques to effectively demonstrate and guide hands-on activities Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and colleagues A bachelor‘s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field is required Commitment to fostering creativity and a passion for the arts Previous teaching experience in an educational or creative institution is an advantage
