Happy to present a senior role with a leading manufacturing company NOTE: Candidates currently residing in Mumbai may only consider applying for this role Designation: Head of IT Total Experience: 10 years Location: Thane Working days: Monday - Friday Reporting to: CEO Team composition: 1 networking and system administrator, 1 cybersecurity officer, 1 business analyst, 1 business intelligence developer, 2 database administrators Job Responsibilities: Developing the IT strategy in alignment with its overall business goals Overseeing continued development, support, and maintenance of ERP and associated entities (APIs, databases, backups, code repositories etc.) Managing development, implementation and licensing of other Saa S products (Salesforce, Tableau, Zoho People, Microsoft Teams etc.) Identifying, interfacing and negotiating with external IT vendors as well as managing vendor relations and performance Collecting requirements for future projects in discussion with other heads of departments and assessing their technical feasibility Planning dashboards or other BI tools that provide access to importance metrics or make business processes function more smoothly Overseeing development of documentation including process documentation, project planning documentation, technical documentation, and SOPs and best practices Managing internal and external networking professionals to ensure smooth networking function Overseeing cybersecurity activities such as policy documentation and enforcement as well as regular external audits to ensure confidential data is thoroughly protected Overseeing regular data and process audits to ensure that proper data hygiene is maintained Keeping up with industry trends and new technologies (e.g. machine learning, large language models etc.) and introducing them into the business when needed In general, taking on any IT task that enables the team to work with greater speed, efficiency, and security Skills and experience: Experience with Java-based web development frameworks is required Experience with ERP software is required; experience with open-source ERP frameworks is highly desirable Experience in managing teams is required Experience in designing or negotiating enterprise software development contracts (e.g., knowledge of pricing structure in the industry) is highly desirable Consulting experience is highly desirable Good understanding of data privacy regulations and data governance strategies Good understanding of networking and security fundamentals Good understanding of database and query language fundamentals Familiarity with IT project management tools (version control, bug tracking etc.) Personal characteristics: Meticulous and detail-oriented Performance-driven Ability to manage expectations Ability to meet timelines Able to firmly but diplomatically convey technical details to other managers Good leadership ability Interest in mentoring junior employees Forward-thinking and well-acquainted with industry trends
