About Position:We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Cloud Architect to design, implement, and optimize cutting-edge data solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud data architectures. Your expertise in Azure data services, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud governance will drive innovation and efficiency across our data ecosystem.Role: Azure Cloud ArchitectJob Location: Any PSL Location.Experience: 12+YearsJob Type: Full Time EmploymentWhat You'll Do:Solution Design & ImplementationArchitect end-to-end data solutions using Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, SQL MI, Azure data lakes).Implement data integration, migration, and transformation strategies (ETL/ELT).Collaboration & LeadershipPartner with stakeholders (Data Hub a Digital & AI) to define data strategy and requirements.Mentor data engineers, scientists, and analysts on best practices.Work with DevOps teams to automate deployments (CI/CD, IaC tools Azure Bicep) for the proposed solution.Data Governance & SecurityEnsure compliance with data security standards (GDPR, HIPAA, UK data residency) , Azure security tools (Key Vault, RBAC, Private Endpoints) and Sodexo’s security requirements.Establish data governance frameworks for quality, lineage, and cataloging.Work with DevOps teams to remediate security issues based on the security compliance report (Sodexo’s tool CACTUS)Performance OptimizationMonitor and tune data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.Implement resilience and high-availability strategies.Innovation & MigrationLead cloud migration of legacy data systems to Azure ecosystem.Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT) to enhance data capabilities.DocumentationCreate architecture diagrams (HLD, TAD, Network flow matrix, environment details and secret inventory file), and operational guidelines.Expertise You'll Bring:5+ years in data architecture/engineering, with 3+ years focused on Azure.Proven track record in deploying large-scale Azure data solutions.Expert in Azure services: Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Azure Data lakes, Key Vault, Azure Relay, Data gateway.Knowledge in Azure services: IaaS, Application Gateway, Azure Load Balancer, Web App, Function App, Logic App, Service Bus, Azure ML,Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).Experience with DevOps (Azure DevOps), IaC, and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor).Knowledge of analytics (Power BI).Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageCulture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certificationsOpportunity to work with cutting-edge technologiesEmployee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awardsAnnual health check-upsInsurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parentsValues-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:Persistent Ltd. is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
