CAM Programmer Experience: 6–10 YearsLocation: Guindy, ChennaiCompany: Metis Engineering Services Private LimitedJob Overview Metis Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior CAM Programmer with strong hands-on expertise in UG NX / CATIA CAM and 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC machining . The role involves delivering high-quality CAM solutions, supporting manufacturing teams, and working closely with internal and customer stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and release NC programs using UG NX / CATIA V5Generate optimized toolpaths for 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC milling machinesPerform simulation and verification (Vericut or equivalent) to ensure error-free machiningSelect appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materialsSupport shop-floor prove-out , troubleshooting, and machining improvementsInterpret engineering drawings, GD&T , and customer specificationsSupport FAI, process validation, and continuous improvement activitiesCollaborate with Design, Quality, and Production teams to ensure manufacturabilityPrepare and maintain CAM documentation and revision controlProvide technical guidance to junior programmers when requiredRequired Skills & Technical Expertise Strong experience in UG NX (NX CAM) and/or CATIA V5 CAMProven expertise in 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC programmingKnowledge of G-code / M-code and CNC controls (FANUC / SIEMENS / HAAS)Experience with CAM simulation tools (Vericut preferred)Solid understanding of tooling, fixtures, and machining processesStrong knowledge of GD&T (ASME / ISO) and manufacturing drawingsQualifications Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Electrical6–10 years of relevant experience in CAM programming & CNC manufacturing
