About IILM University:

We are launching a new undergraduate and MBA program in Sports Management to address the growing opportunities in sports industries like IPL and similar leagues in India.


Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the founding Dean of the School of Sports Management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the program, fostering industry linkages, and positioning IILM as a leader in Sports Management education.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a robust curriculum for undergraduate and MBA programs in Sports Management.

• Ensure alignment with global standards and industry demands.

2. Strategic Partnerships:

• Forge collaborations with sports organizations, leagues (e.g., IPL), and industry leaders.

• Establish internship and placement opportunities for students.

3. Institutional Growth:

• Lead the recruitment of faculty with expertise in sports management, marketing, and analytics.

• Drive student admissions and promote the program across India and internationally.

4. Research and Innovation:

• Foster research in sports management, sports marketing, sponsorships, and analytics.

• Organize seminars, conferences, and industry workshops.

5. Operational Excellence:

• Oversee the program’s financial planning and ensure efficient resource utilization.

• Implement quality assurance systems and continuous improvement strategies.


Qualifications and Experience:

• A PhD or equivalent in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 15 years of experience in academia or the sports industry, with leadership roles.

• Strong network in the sports industry, including ties with leagues like IPL, corporate sponsors, and sports organizations.

• Proven track record in curriculum development, faculty management, and academic excellence.

• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
